The idea is that you can make the season sparkle by doing nice things for others, and you can also make it sparkle by doing nice things for yourself and your health.
I was lucky enough to be on the receiving end of a random act of kindness yesterday. Upon returning to my car after a
It was nothing big, but it surely made me smile! And it reminded me that no act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted. So...take the time to do something nice for someone this season!
And now for the health side of things.... Sometimes the person you need to do something nice for is yourself. This is especially true when it comes to taking care of your health.
Right now, there are a few people that are close to me that are dealing with some pretty unfair health issues. This leaves me feeling an urgency to take care of my health to the best of my ability.
To stay on top of my healthy eating and exercise through the holiday season, I started a closed Facebook group with some friends where we can post daily challenges, motivational stuff, recipe ideas, and just share in our daily challenges and successes. This group has been extremely helpful! I highly recommend gathering some friends in your quest to get/stay healthy. Accountability is key. (And actually...a little birdie told me that Sparkle.Pounce. will be starting up one of these groups in January!)
So, this season, be sure to make the season sparkle for others, but don't forget about yourself!
Sparkle.Pounce.Be Healthy.
